Shernay Wells is a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. She was educated through the Tuscaloosa City Schools and graduated from Central High School. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Health Studies from the University of Alabama. Her current role is a Public Health Environmentalist for the State of Alabama Department of Public Health. Although my main role is ensuring public health and safety through conducting thorough inspections of food establishments, public facilities, and businesses; I also work to guarantee that all businesses and establishments are in compliance with health and safety regulations. In addition, I collaborate with local businesses to provide guidance on best practices and to build positive relationships to improve the overall standards in the Tuscaloosa Community.
